Crispy Fried Onion String

INGREDIENTS: 4  - Servings
1 Large Yellow Onion
1 cup of Whole Milk
1 cup of All Purpose Flour
1 tbsp of Corn Starch
1 tsp of Paprika Pepper
1 tsp of Chipotle Chili Powder
1 tsp of Cayenne Pepper
2 tsp of Granulated Onion Powder
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Vegetable Oil for frying

Peel and cut the onion in half and then thinly slice it.
Separate the onion slices with your fingers and place them in a bowl.
Pour the milk over the onions and let them sit in the milk for about an hour.
Pour out all the milk. Next add in the flour and all of the seasonings. Mix well.
Heat the oil to 375 F degrees.
Take a handful of the onions at a time and shake off the extra flour and add them to the hot oil.
Fry onion strings for couple of minutes.
Making sure you stir them around half way through the cooking time to make sure every strand is crispy.

Remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel lined plate. Repeat with the rest of the onions.
You can use these onion strings as toppers, on sandwiches or just on their own.
For dipping sauce mix in equal amount of mayo and ketchup and few drops of hot sauce.
