Baked Open Face Sandwich

Open face sandwich is a type of sandwich that is made with only one slice of bread instead of two. For this recipe I have used salami, Havarti sliced cheese, Mexican shredded cheese, and some European bread that I had at the time. But salami can be replaced with any other cooked meat of your choice, and same with bread and cheese. Feel free to add or remove any toppings. I have made these sandwiches with other meat and cheese many times and they have turned out tasty every time.

Makes 4 sandwiches
4 Slices of bread
4 Slices of salami
4 Slices of tomatoes
4 Slices of cheese
6 Tablespoons Shredded cheese
2 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
Salt and Pepper to taste
Garlic powder to taste

Mayo Spread:
In a bowl combine mayo, 2 tablespoons shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Spread the Mayo Spread on bread.

Assemble in this order:
Sliced cheese,

Sliced tomato,
(season tomatoes with salt and pepper for more flavor)

Shredded cheese (one tablespoon per sandwich)

Place sandwiches on parchment paper on cookie sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes at 350 F in preheated oven. Sandwiches are done when cheese melts and tomatoes become soft.
