White Bread


Ingredients
makes one 9 by 5 inch loaf

3 cups bread flour (all purpose can be used too)
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F)
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 pack of dry yeast (.25 o.z. or 2 teaspoons)
2 tablespoons of olive oil (vegetable or sunflower can be used too)

In large bowl, dissolve sugar and yeast in water.

Let sit for about 10-15 minutes till foams.


Stir in salt and oil. Add in flour.


Mix till dough pulled together.


Unload on lightly floured surface.


Knead till smooth for about 5-7 minutes. Add flour if too sticky or add water if too dry (small amounts at the time).

Place back in a bowl (lightly floured). Cover with damp paper towel or plastic.


Let rise for about an hour or so till dough doubles in size.


Form in to a loaf. Place in lightly oiled 9 by 5 pan. Let rise for about 45 minutes covered with damp paper towel.


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.


Remove from pan. Let cool to room temperature before slicing and serving.
